Better Business Bureau (BBB)

We are proud to be an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). In order to maintain this accreditation, we adhere to the BBB Code of Business Practices, which "represents sound advertising, selling and customer service practices that enhance customer trust and confidence in business."1 The BBB also asks that their accredited businesses abide by eight principles. These principles are to "build trust, advertise honestly, tell the truth, be transparent, honor promises, be responsive, safeguard privacy, and embody integrity."1 we have consistently exceeded the BBB standards for accreditation in order to hold an A+ rating.

National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA)

As a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA), we are committed to both their values and their code of ethics. NRMLA has six values in place that all members must share: "fairness, confidentiality, integrity, competence, diligence, and professionalism."2 In addition to these core values, all members must abide by NRMLA's code of ethics. If any business is found to be in violation of any of these values or codes, their membership is subject to immediate termination.

Federal Housing Administration (FHA)

Under the Federal Housing Administration, we are approved as a non-supervised title II mortgagee, which is a type of FHA designation known as "full eagle." A full eagle designation means that we have the ability to originate, fund, hold, service, purchase, and sell FHA loans without direct FHA supervision. This is the highest designation given to FHA-approved lenders and requires adherence to the most rigid code of conduct.

National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC)

In order to be a member of NAIPC, we are held to a strict code of conduct which ensures "the honor and integrity of all persons engaged in [the reverse mortgage] business."3 This code of conduct consists of ten rules dedicated to respect, privacy, trust, teaching, encouragement, and dignity. By conducting business by this code, we protects our clients' rights, as well as their private information.

Equal Housing Lender

As a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (FDIC), we are required to abide by the Federal Fair Housing Act, which stipulates that loans cannot be structured or denied "on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, handicap, or familial status."4 In addition, members are required to conform with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, which prevents discrimination in any credit transaction "on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, or age, because income is from public assistance, or because a right was exercised under the Consumer Credit Protection Act."4 The FDIC requires its members to disclose their compliance with these regulations by displaying the Equal Housing Lender symbol on all marketing material.
